Installation Tip:
✅ Before Installation:
- Drain transmission fluid and remove the transmission oil pan to access the valve body.
- Label all valves and solenoids before disassembly — misplacement can cause incorrect shifting or DTCs.
✅ During Assembly:
- Clean the valve bore thoroughly with brake cleaner; do not use shop rags that leave lint.
- Lubricate O-rings lightly with ZF-approved assembly gel or transmission fluid before inserting the 0501219310 VALVE.
- Ensure proper seating — never force the valve into the bore.
✅ After Installation:
- Reinstall the valve body and oil pan with new gaskets. Refill with correct amount of ZF Lifeguard 6 fluid.
